OPEN TYPE at Curious Matter is a place to connect in person with other word-obsessed queer and LGBT folks. Bring a book, a writing project, or simply your curiosity.
It’s sort of a book club, but without homework or pressure. Join us for a facilitated conversation about what we’re reading, writing, or thinking about.

ON READING & RESPONSE A different kind of book club
No assigned reading, no preparation required. Bring whatever you're currently reading, at whatever stage in your reading, and join us for an evening of thoughtful conversation. Together, we'll reflect on how our reading is shaping our thinking and our lives. Presented in partnership with the Jersey City Free Public Library.
